Trusts
Trusts created during life and trusts created at death can frequently give rise to disputes between trustees and beneficiaries, between the beneficiaries themselves, and between the trust and third parties. Mr. Keller has represented hundreds of beneficiaries, lay and professional trustees, and various third parties interested in a trust, and has acted as a professional trustee of many different trusts. He has mediated dozens of trust disputes to a successful conclusion.
Closely held businesses
Closely held businesses, like families, can often be involved in disputes. Mr. Keller has represented hundreds of businesses in various disputes, including landlord/tenant matters, disputes between shareholders, creditor's claims, employee disputes, real estate disputes, tax controversies, etc. Tom's background as both an attorney (now inactive)and CPA (now retired) allows him to bring a unique skill set to disputes involving closely held businesses.
Estates
Probate estates are perhaps one of the most contentious areas of the law today. Mr. Keller has represented hundreds of parties interested in a probate estate, including executors, beneficiaries, and creditors. Mr. Keller has acted as an executor, special representative, guardian ad litem, special master, and mediator in hundreds of contested matters involving probate estates.
Guardianships
Guardianship of both person and estate can often be involved in disputes. Mr. Keller has represented dozens of lay and professional guardians in various disputed matters over the past 40 years.
